From navigating a surge in special education costs and improving workers’ comp implementation to exploring new ways to tap into artificial intelligence, school business officials and other district leaders did not shy away from hot topics during discussions at the Association of School Business Officials International’s annual conference.
Other sessions took on a more somber tone as district leaders shared experiences and best practices for crisis response and recovery during a deadly natural disaster.
The conference — held this year in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 18-20 — brings nearly 1,000 school business leaders together each year.
