- Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has announced two new vice presidents as it aims to boost its marketing capabilities for direct-to-consumer learning products.
- Leigh Zarelli and Caroline Fraser come to HMH from AOL Inc. and Scholastic Media respectively, and each brings a considerable amount of consumer content marketing and development knowledge to the global learning company.
- Zarelli will serve as senior vice president of consumer brands and will manage HMH's direct-to-consumer product offerings, while Fraser will be vice president of program development and acquisition.

HMH has made strides in 2014 with its home-learning content, such as Curious World and Go Math! Academy. Zarelli and Fraser will report directly to Executive Vice President and Chief of Consumer Brands and Strategy CJ Kettler, who says they'll bring further accomplishment to the products.
"They both bring extensive media industry experience and strategic expertise in consumer product development that will play a critical role as we meet the growing need for high-quality learning content for the home," Kettler said in a press release.
