Dive Brief:

• Intel revealed its newest foray into classroom tech specs: A convertible laptop called Education 2-in-1.

• The combination notebook allows students to detach the 10-inch screen from the keyboard and go from computer to tablet.  Education 2-in-1 comes with a stylus and various other education accessories like a temperature sensor probe, magnifying glass lens, and Windows 8.1.

• Intel has yet to announce the pricing or when the Education 2-in-1 will be on the market.

Dive Insight:

Intel is not alone: Dell, Google, Lenovo, Microsoft, and reigning queen of classroom specs, Apple, have all pushed their technologies to be applicable and relevant in a classroom setting. 

The fact that there are so many different options is fantastic. More importantly, it is reassuring that so many creative minds are taking the time to figure out how technology can be appropriately integrated into classrooms.
