Dive Brief:
- On Wednesday, Fuel Education announced an exclusive partnership with LearnBop.
- The collaboration will see LearnBop's math tutoring and assessment tools for grades 5-9 come to FuelEd's PEAK personalized learning platform this fall, followed by its addition to the PEAK library of course customization tools.
- Launched last year, LearnBop has already seen success in schools like Brooklyn's Middle School #385, where the percentage of students passing the state math exam rose from 25% to 96% year-over-year.
Dive Insight:
Middle School #385 is just one example: In all, LearnBop is currently used by 350 schools in 17 states. And if they've all seen the same sort of success, it's no surprise that FuelEd would want to distribute LearnBop's solution on its platform.
As you may recall, FuelEd is a division of K12 Inc., a virtual education provider, that was rebranded in April to help it gain an edge — particularly due to the criticism of its online schools. That said, associations with successful third party tools can only help boost that part of its business and provide its district partners with the personalized learning support they demand.
