Dive Insight:
The Galaxy Tab 4 Education is one in a slew of new tablets opening up to the market in time of next year's school purchases. Anand Tech compares the new tablet to two others — the Asus Transformer Pad (Education) and the iPad w/Retina — to suss out the competition. When it comes to school purchases, the Asus is the cheapest ($269 + $30 for Management Console, optional keyboard dock $60), but it isn't as durable as the Galaxy. The iPad is the most expensive of the bunch ($399, ultimately not much more than the Galaxy), and currently has the largest following in the K-12 world.
