110 all-star PreK-6 educators from around the world chosen to spark a joy of reading and learning
Epic, the world’s leading digital reading platform for kids 12 and under that reaches over 50 million children and serves over 2 million teachers, is pleased to welcome 110 educators to its Master Teacher Ambassador Program for the 2022 school year. The 4th annual global cohort of all-star PreK-6 grade educator ambassadors were selected to instill a love of reading and learning for students and to share best practices among colleagues.
The diverse group hails from across the nation spanning 16 countries. Nearly the entire community of Master Teachers have been using Epic in the classroom for at least one school year or longer and support fun and safe student learning across a variety of subjects, from reading and literacy to history, geography, the arts, science and math.
Wherever students are learning this back to school season, Epic School, which is always free for educators and librarians, allows access for students to use Epic during school hours, weekdays 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time. Teachers are able to provide thousands of high-quality fiction and nonfiction titles, audiobooks and read to me books on various topics in multiple languages. The robust library helps to boost young readers' confidence while fueling curiosity and sparking joy in reading.
“Epic’s Master Teachers have the opportunity to be involved in a vibrant community where teachers can share creativity and spark innovation among colleagues to engage their students in and out of the classroom,” said Katy Jao, Educator Relations Manager at Epic. “Our cohort of educator ambassadors this year are highly regarded within their communities and throughout the nation. Many have received notable honors such as Teacher of the Year, and are published authors and presenters. A large number are Google, Apple, ISTE and national board certified. We are so proud to have these educators supporting Epic and helping young students discover their love of reading and learning.”
This year’s Master Teachers teach primarily grades Pre-K-6, although some have experience teaching middle school and beyond. Specialties include general education, special education, technology, librarians, ELL educators, bilingual educators, administrators, gifted and talented teachers, STEM teachers, and reading specialists.
In addition to inspiring educators and students, Master Teachers will influence the future development of Epic by providing their expertise and insight through surveys, interviews and advisory groups.
